The Catering Institute wants to help restaurant operators continue to grow sales and increase profits by offering its second Catering Sales Management Workshop. The workshop, open to restaurant industry professionals and catering sales leaders, will be held October 13 at The Omni Park West Hotel in Dallas.

"This is a great way to engage restaurant leaders and their catering teams in the continuing conversation about catering, takeout and delivery best practices," says Erle Dardick, founder of The Catering Institute. "Our goal is to help attendees walk away from the event with new strategies for setting up sales success and for acquiring new customers. We really believe catering, takeout, and delivery services have the ability to increase restaurant sales with dramatic results.”

Agenda topics include: building a sales culture inside your organization; cold calling techniques; lead generation and prospecting; consultative selling; buyer types and motives; how to get your current brand fans to spend more money with you; motivating your front line team members to sell more catering; and using the power of delivery to get more sales.

The one-day event also includes several networking opportunities for attendees, access to a vendor showcase, a workshop binder and related materials, and a catering sales certificate from The Catering Institute.

"This is the first of several workshops The Catering Institute has planned for catering, takeout and delivery leadership," Dardick says. "This is because we are committed to helping restaurant operators make catering, takeout and delivery their 13th month."
