Motivated by warmer spring temperatures and the upcoming return of beach and swimsuit season, Tropical Smoothie Café has unveiled menu items designed to deliver fresh, healthier menu options that taste great. Guests can choose from the new Cali Chicken Club Flatbread, which is a delicious limited-time offering, or two popular smoothies, the Avocolada, featuring nutritious avocados and tropical fruits as well as the energizing Chia Banana Boost. All items will be available at participating locations throughout March and April.

"Californians have a reputation for eating healthy, staying active, and making smart food decisions," says Jennie Hong, senior director of brand marketing and strategy for Tropical Smoothie Café. "This focus on healthier living is what inspired us to incorporate avocados and other healthier super-like ingredients in our spring offerings."

Besides grilled chicken breast, the Cali Chicken Club Flatbread also includes fiber- and antioxidant-rich smashed avocado, crisp Romaine lettuce high in Vitamin A, and beta-carotene, juicy free-radical-fighting tomatoes, as well as basil and garlic, which are both known for their antibacterial and anti-inflammatory qualities.

"We know when you eat better, you feel better and when you feel better, you live better," Hong says. "So we are making sure every item on our menu is packed with real, wholesome ingredients that provide the essential nutrient balance for healthier living."

The Avocolada smoothie offers an even bigger nutrient mash-up with 108 percent of the daily value of Vitamin E, 127 percent of the daily value of Vitamin C, a complete B vitamin complex, immune-supporting zinc, and other antioxidants. Those choosing the Chia Banana Boost will benefit from an 11–13 gram of fiber, healthy proteins, cholesterol-reducing grains, Vitamin E, and a mega-dose of potassium. Each smoothie is created with wholesome ingredients so the body can quickly and fully absorb the nutritive benefits more efficiently than daily vitamin supplement capsules or chewables.

"'Eat Better. Feel Better.' isn't just a catch phrase for us—it's a lifestyle," Hong says. "California used to have the market cornered on that kind of living, but Tropical Smoothie Café is going to bring it coast to coast."
