Pieology Pizzeria, where pizza lovers go to create custom pizzas in endless flavor combinations, announced that St. Louis, Missouri-based Midwest Pie LLC, led by area resident Kelly Kuhlmann, has secured exclusive franchise rights to open Pieology restaurants across the Midwest.

The area development agreement includes six franchise locations in the St. Louis area with the first scheduled to open in the newly developed Streets of St. Charles before the end of the year. Currently with 69 restaurants in 11 states, this latest expansion supports the Pieology’s strategic growth initiatives to bring the company’s signature experience to new guests across the country.

“We are thrilled to introduce Pieology to the Missouri community and are confident that residents will enjoy the customizable experience and the under $8 price point,” says Jeremy Bonk, director of operations for Midwest Pie. “We conducted extensive research to find the best concept, which included eating a lot of pizza. Pieology came out on top in all areas, from flavor and environment to franchisee support.”

“We’re proud to team up with such a talented and passionate franchise partner as we grow Pieology throughout the Midwest,” says Carl Chang, Pieology founder and CEO. “The Midwest Pie team is based in the heart of their franchise territory, and they are very committed to making a mark with Pieology in the communities they call home.”

Pieology St. Charles will feature an industrial-chic and friendly environment where inspirational quotes decorate the walls, menus, and employee uniforms. The Streets of St. Charles, owned by Cullinan Properties Ltd., is a 27-acre community featuring retail, dining, entertainment, hospitality, residential, and office components. Pieology will be located along I-70 at the Fifth Street exit, with access from Lombard Street.

“We are delighted to welcome Pieology to the Midwest market and to The Streets of St. Charles,” says Kathleen Brill, vice president and director of leasing for Cullinan Properties. “It joins an exciting line-up of dining opportunities that include Prasino, Bar Louie, Tucano’s, Five Guys Burgers and Fries, and P.F. Chang’s, which is expected to open Spring 2016.”
