The 20th Annual Auntie Anne’s C.A.R.E.S. Charity Golf Tournament raised more than $225,000 for three deserving charities on July 17. The event, held at Conestoga Country Club, Crossgates Golf Club, and Meadia Heights Golf Club in the Lancaster, Pennsylvania, area, brought out more than 250 golfers for a morning round, followed by an auction and a luncheon for all participants.

Proceeds from this year’s tournament benefitted Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, Auntie Anne’s national charitable partner and an organization dedicated to raising funds for the awareness of childhood cancer causes; Children Deserve a Chance Foundation, an organization dedicated to the pursuit of academic achievement, empowerment, and social engagement of youth from Lancaster communities; and Conestoga Valley Christian Community Services, an organization devoted to meeting the needs of the homeless, at-risk and socially isolated populations in Lancaster County by providing food, clothing, and access to social service providers.

“We were extremely pleased with the event this year, as this was the most successful golf tournament we have hosted thus far,” says Tracy Barley, Auntie Anne’s C.A.R.E.S. Committee Chair. “The C.A.R.E.S. Committee and all of the Auntie Anne’s Associates consider it a privilege to be able to give back to these charitable organizations and to make a positive impact in our local communities. This event would not have been such a huge success without the support of Auntie Anne’s leadership, our associates, and all of our golfers, volunteers, and sponsors.”

The C.A.R.E.S. (Community Action Requires Employee Support) Committee was founded in 1995 by the employees of Auntie Anne’s Inc. The mission of this independent, nonprofit organization is to provide focused community support through time and financial resources. Although separate, Auntie Anne's Inc. strongly endorses and encourages the efforts of the C.A.R.E.S. Committee.
