Growing restaurant brand VertsKebap will open the doors to its 10th Houston–area location in Pearland, Texas, this Saturday, February 20.

To celebrate the launch of the Pearland restaurant, located at 2630 Pearland Parkway, VertsKebap will give away one free, full-size entrée per guest from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The restaurant will also give away eight $25 gift cards in a raffle, as well as VertsKebap swag. More prizes will be awarded through a social media contest.

“We are very proud to open our 10th restaurant in the Houston area,” says Michael Heyne, VertsKebap cofounder and CEO. “Houston is such a vibrant city and we have enjoyed getting to know each community we serve since opening our first Houston restaurant in April 2014.”

As part of its commitment to the communities it operates in, VertsKebap will donate 100 percent of sales on Saturday to Target Hunger, a local nonprofit that aims to alleviate hunger and its root causes by providing nourishment through foodservices and enrichment through educational programs. Guests who purchase sides, drinks, or additional entrées throughout the day will be happy to know that their money is going to a worthy cause in the Houston community.

“Target Hunger is proud to partner with Verts. Their focus on healthy, nutritious food mirrors our mission, and their commitment to giving back is so appreciated,” says Lemel Jones, CEO of Target Hunger.

VertsKebap Pearland is the 29th location for the restaurant brand in Texas. The company will continue to expand in Texas throughout 2016, with plans to open eight to 10 locations across Dallas, Austin, Houston, and San Antonio. VertsKebap will open its first out-of-state location this summer when it launches on the East Coast. Overall, the fast casual Mediterranean plans to open at least 20 new restaurants in 2016.
