Dog Haus, the gourmet hot dog, sausage and burger concept, has officially named Adam Gertler the "Würstmacher" (sausage-maker) for the rapidly expanding restaurant. In his new role, Gertler will oversee the production and creation of Dog Haus' proprietary sausages, which include everything from a Spicy Thai Red Currywurst to a Chicken Fontina Sausage to Dog Haus' signature Pastrami Dog. Gertler previously consulted on the production of the inspired sausages, working closely with the Dog Haus team to craft the brand's offerings that elevate the nostalgic experience of eating a hot dog with bold flavors and presentations.

"Not only is Adam an über talented sausage-maker, he's also become a great buddy of ours. We're thrilled to now be working with him on a daily basis, particularly as we gear up for continued expansion beyond our Pasadena hometown," says Dog Haus partner Hagop Giragossian, referencing the brand's franchising plans in California, Utah, Colorado, and beyond.

Gertler, who first came to national attention as a finalist in season four of "The Next Food Network Star," will work in tandem with Dog Haus' culinary director, Michael Brown, to ensure the high-quality of the sausages is maintained as the concept grows. Gertler will bring the same energy he has brought to subsequent Food Network shows, "Kid in a Candy Store" and "Will Work for Food," as well as his current role hosting FX's "FX Movie Download," to his position as one of the brand's most vocal ambassadors. Fans will be able to follow along with Dog Haus' creative process through Youtube videos starring Gertler that showcase the conception of new sausages, and for real time updates on Twitter at @DogHausAdam.

"I'm beyond excited to be on board with the Dog Haus guys during this pivotal moment for them," Gertler says. "The creativity and energy they bring to the plate is inspiring, and I look forward to working with them to bring that spirit to communities around the country."
