A Southeast favorite for chicken fingers and wings, Zaxby’s encourages fanatics to take advantage of its summer promotional offerings available in all Zaxby’s location.

For more than a year, fans have taken to social media—including offers for over-the-top gestures like shaving their heads—to beg Zaxby’s to bring back fried pickles. Through tongue-in-cheek messaging that ties into brand’s recent ad campaign, the restaurant chain granted fans’ requests and rolled out the consistently popular menu item, lightly breaded pickles served with Ranch dressing. As explained by fictional spokesperson Farmer Fred Gunderson in the ads, Zaxby’s offers fried pickles for a limited time because the equally fictitious pickle-growing season is short. Farmer Fred provides insight into the world of pickle farming and offers wise words through pickle proverbs.
