Penn Station East Coast Subs, the fast-casual restaurant known for its grilled, made-to-order sub sandwiches, will add a fresh grilled bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich to its menu for the month of July.

“While looking at other concepts, we found the bacon to be thin, tasteless and almost more like bacon bits than true bacon,” says Penn Station president Craig Dunaway. “We specifically selected a much thicker cut of bacon—and absorbed the additional cost of it—because we believe customers will recognize and appreciate the difference in quality and taste. During the testing phase for this limited-time offer, we rejected numerous bacon samples from our supplier because they didn’t have the taste difference we were seeking. Combine this extra-thick bacon with our signature fresh-baked bread and high-quality iceberg lettuce and Roma tomatoes, and we think we have the perfect summer sandwich that will really stand out against other BLTs on the market.”

The BLT sandwich will be available in Penn Station’s usual 6-inch, 8-inch, 10-inch, and 12-inch sizes. It will be available at all locations in July.
