Freddy’s Opens Doors in Jefferson City, Missouri

The wait is over for Freddy’s fans in Jefferson City, Missouri. Today, the new Freddy’s location will swing open its doors at 2103 Missouri Blvd.

“Our Freddy’s team has been planning, training, and working on this site for several years,” says franchise partner Eric Cole. “We are very excited to open today and we look forward to being a part of the Jefferson City community for many, many years to come.”

Does Asparagus Stand a Chance Against Fries?

Mark Bucher, founder of BGR The Burger Joint, is fighting for asparagus’ permanent existence at BGR’s 19 locations.

Starting May 15, he has one month to successfully leverage in-store marketing and a Twitter campaign (#savetheasparagus) to keep asparagus on the menu, or come June 16, it will be a casualty of the french fry wars.

To boost his campaign, Bucher vowed to do something unheard of: remove french fries completely from kids’ meals and replace them with asparagus spears.

Jack in the Box Promotes Comma to President, COO

Jack in the Box Inc. today announced Leonard A. Comma was promoted to president and chief operating officer, effective May 14, 2012.

Comma, who had served as executive vice president and chief operating officer of the company since 2010, retains oversight of operations, restaurant development, and franchising, and will now also oversee marketing for Jack in the Box restaurants.

Steak ‘n Shake Opens Second Colorado Restaurant

Steak ‘n Shake celebrates the grand opening of its second restaurant in Colorado in the city of Sheridan at 3502 River Point Parkway. The restaurant opened its doors Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 10 a.m.

Franchise owners and operating partners Connie Caruso and Mark Clark hosted the festivities. The Chief of Police was also slated to be in attendance.
